Email Permission From Customers

Effective July 1, 2014 we need specific permission from each Customer, to email them other than in the normal course of business (orders, questions, etc).

Every new Customer should be sent an email as follows:

SUBJECT: Dempsey – Request To Email <Store Name and Account No.>


Request for Permission to Add Recipient

You are receiving this email because you are now a Customer of Dempsey Distributing. We would like to provide information that is relevant to you regarding our upcoming titles and other information we believe may be helpful to you in your business. Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation that came into effect on July 1, 2014 requires that we obtain your consent so we can send you certain types of electronic messages.

If you would like to be put on our email list, please Reply to this email with the word Subscribe in the body of the text. We adhere to permission email marketing best practices so, if you do not reply, you will no longer receive information about new titles available from Dempsey.

The Data Department will maintain the Master List of Authorised Email Addresses. As at 03-Jul-2014 this system has not yet been put in place.
