Can’t Get In To HiPoint

The Problem
If HiPoint does not open when you try to log, the HiPoint Server may have stopped.

The Solution
Access the File Server on our server box:

  • Either - go to the server station, double-click the File Server icon
  • Or - from Accounting or DataMgr workstations, double-click the File Server icon
  • Enter the Administrator password
  • Double-click the HiPoint Control Panel icon
  • Esc to stop Tasks and enable other buttons
  • Click 'Stop Server'
  • Wait 30 seconds
  • Click 'Start Server'
  • This should also have started Tasks.  If not, start them.
  • Leave the Control Panel open (you cannot close it in this state, see bottom of page).

To disconnect from the File Server:

  • Either: Windows > Log Off > Disconnect (do NOT select anything else here)
  • Or: Click the small x towards the middle of the screen in the Remote Access area

The HiPoint Control Panel will remain open all the time.
