How to Add White Space around Images in Photoshop

Each item webpage requires an image that is 350 pixels high. Occasionally you may only find an image that is smaller than that. You can use this image to resize into the 150 pixels thumbnail, but you'll need to add some white space around it for the 350 pixels high image you need for the webpage.

  1. In Photoshop Elements click Image > Resize > Canvas Size
  2. Under New Size, change the parameters to pixels
  3. Change height to 350 pixels. The width should adjust automatically
  4. Click OK
  5. The image is now centred in a canvas 350 pixels high
