How to Add a Border to Images in Photoshop

All cover images (book, CD and calendar) that have a white background need to have a border around it so that you can see it clearly against the white web page.

To add a border:

1. Open the image in Photoshop Elements.

2. Check image size and quality: Click Image > Resize > Image size (or Ctrl + Alt + I). Adjust Height = 350 and Resolution = 72 pixels/inch > OK

3. Add border: Click Select > All > Select > Modify > Border > Choose Width = 2 pixels > OK.

4. Add colour to the border: Click Edit > Fill selection > Use = 50% Gray > OK

5. Save file in PUBLISHER DATE/IMAGE MANAGEMENT/Current Images >Image 350

6. Save file with Height = 150 and save in PUBLISHER DATE/IMAGE MANAGEMENT/Current Images >Image 150
